Steven is a Chartered Sport and Exercise Psychologist and Performance Psychologist at Lancashire County Cricket Club.
He helps players balance high performance with wellbeing, enabling them to compete with consistency while staying connected to their love of the game.
At Cricket Mind Online, Steven supports junior, amateur, and professional cricketers, as well as coaches and parents. His approach is practical and player-centred, focusing on the psychological tools that make the biggest impact on confidence, resilience, and performance.
THE EXPERIENCE BEHIND STEVEN’S COACHING
Steven holds a Doctorate in Sport and Exercise Psychology and is fully HCPC-registered. His work at Lancashire CCC spans male and female players across pathway and senior squads, giving him deep experience supporting athletes in high-performance environments.
He helps players manage nerves, cope with injury setbacks, and strengthen resilience during transitions. As a solution-focused brief therapy practitioner, Steven ensures sessions are efficient, targeted, and tailored to the needs of each individual.
Beyond cricket, he has worked with athletes in cycling, hockey, futsal, snowboarding, and other sports — a breadth of experience that strengthens his ability to help cricketers perform in demanding, competitive settings.
