THE CHALLENGE

Don’t chase the perfect start.
Just give yourself the best chance.

The start of a new season can bring excitement — but it can also bring pressure.

Players often arrive at the first few games wanting to prove that all their winter work has paid off. A quiet innings, a bad spell or an early mistake can suddenly feel much bigger than it really is.

That can lead to overthinking, forcing performance or judging the season far too quickly.

A strong start is not about scoring runs or taking wickets immediately. It is about staying clear on how you want to play, responding well to what happens and giving yourself time to build momentum.

This workshop will help you approach the opening weeks of the season with a calmer mindset, clearer focus and a more useful definition of success.

WHAT WE’LL EXPLORE

Build your season from the right foundations.

FAQS

Preparing for the workshop.

Who is the workshop for? +

The workshop is for cricketers beginning a new competitive season who want to approach the opening weeks with greater clarity, confidence and perspective.

What age is it suitable for? +

It is designed for developing cricketers through to adult players and is particularly relevant to players involved in school, club, pathway, academy or representative cricket.

What if my season has already started? +

That is absolutely fine. The principles are designed for the opening phase of a season rather than one specific first match, so the workshop can still be useful if you have already played several games.

Is the workshop live? +

Yes. It is delivered live online and includes opportunities to ask questions.

Will there be a recording? +

Yes. All registered attendees will receive access to a recording after the live workshop.

Will this help me score more runs or take more wickets? +

The workshop does not provide technical cricket coaching or guarantee results. It focuses on the mental side of performance — helping you manage pressure, stay clear on your approach and respond constructively to what happens during the opening weeks of the season.

Keep building.
