Cricket Mind Online Launches Yearly Live Workshop Schedule

Practical Online Workshops for Players, Parents and Coaches

Cricket Mind Online has launched a new yearly schedule of live online cricket workshops, designed to support players, parents and coaches at key moments throughout the cricket calendar.

Rather than offering one-off events with no clear structure, the new schedule brings together four focused online workshops across the year — each created to meet the real challenges cricketers and families face at different stages of the season.

From winter preparation and early-season confidence to parent support and trial pressure, the aim is simple: to give players and parents practical tools they can use when they matter most.

Why We’ve Created a Yearly Workshop Schedule

Cricket is a seasonal game, and the mental demands of the sport change throughout the year.

In winter, players are often trying to improve their training, build confidence and make sure their practice has a clear purpose. At the start of the season, they may feel pressure to perform straight away. During the summer, parents often find themselves managing the emotional ups and downs of selection, scores, mistakes and confidence. Later in the year, trials can bring nerves, overthinking and the pressure to impress.

These challenges are different, but they are connected.

Players do not just need technical coaching. They also need support with confidence, preparation, focus, decision-making, pressure and reflection. Parents do not need to be perfect, but they often benefit from simple guidance around how to support their child calmly and constructively.

That is why we have created a yearly schedule of live online cricket workshops — so players and parents can access timely support at the points in the cricket calendar when it is most useful.

Practical Support at the Right Time of Year

Each workshop has been designed around a specific moment in the cricket year.

The goal is not to overwhelm players with theory or give parents a long list of things they must do. The aim is to provide practical, accessible guidance that helps people think more clearly, prepare better and respond more effectively to the challenges cricket can bring.

All workshops are delivered live online, making them accessible to players and parents wherever they are based. Each session includes practical strategies, reflection opportunities and the chance to ask questions.

The Four Workshops in the Yearly Schedule

Supporting Young Cricketers

Our Supporting Young Cricketers workshop is designed for parents who want to help their child enjoy cricket, build confidence and handle pressure more effectively.

Most cricket parents mean well. They want their child to enjoy the game, fulfil their potential and feel supported. But it can sometimes be difficult to know what to say before a match, how to respond after disappointment, or when to step in and when to step back.

This workshop helps parents understand how young cricketers experience pressure and how small conversations can have a big impact. It explores sideline support, car journey conversations, emotional reactions, confidence, resilience and the importance of keeping cricket enjoyable, challenging and healthy.

It is particularly relevant for parents of players who put pressure on themselves, get upset after mistakes, struggle to enjoy matches, or seem to perform better in training than in games.

Preparing for Trials

Our Preparing for Trials workshop supports players who are heading into county, regional, school, academy or representative cricket trials.

Trials can feel like big moments. Players often want to stand out, impress coaches and give themselves the best chance of selection. But that pressure can easily lead to nerves, overthinking, tension and trying too hard.

This workshop helps players prepare for trials with greater calmness and clarity. It explores how to manage nerves, focus on controllables, develop a simple game plan, respond well to mistakes and understand what it means to stand out for the right reasons.

The aim is not to guarantee selection. The aim is to help players arrive prepared, confident and ready to show the best version of themselves.

Cricket Pre-Season

Our Cricket Pre-Season workshop is designed for players who want to train with more purpose during the winter and arrive at the new season with greater confidence and direction.

Many cricketers train hard during pre-season. But effort alone does not always lead to progress. Without clear intentions, match-relevant practice and a better understanding of what they are trying to improve, players can drift through winter training without making the gains they hoped for.

This workshop helps players think more clearly about their pre-season preparation. It explores training quality, purposeful practice, confidence-building, personal intentions and how to make practice transfer more effectively into matches.

The aim is not simply to train more. It is to help players train with greater purpose.

Start the Season Strong

Our Start the Season Strong workshop helps players approach the beginning of the cricket season with confidence, clarity and momentum.

The start of the season can be exciting, but it can also bring pressure. After months of winter training, many players expect themselves to perform straight away. When that happens, they can start overthinking, chasing outcomes or judging themselves too quickly.

This workshop helps players manage expectations, prepare mentally for competition and create a calmer, clearer match mindset. It explores confidence, pressure, routines, process focus and how to stay composed when things do not go perfectly.

The aim is not to start the season perfectly. It is to help players begin with greater clarity, confidence and freedom.

Why Live Online Workshops Work

Live online workshops make high-quality support more accessible.

Players and parents can join from home, listen in a comfortable environment and take away practical ideas without needing to travel. The format also allows us to deliver timely support to a wider cricket community, while still keeping the sessions focused, personal and interactive.

For many families, online workshops are a useful first step. They offer clear guidance, practical strategies and a better understanding of how the mental and performance side of cricket can be developed.

For others, they may sit alongside one-to-one coaching, ongoing mentoring or support from clubs, schools and academies.

Building Confidence, Preparation and Performance Across the Cricket Year

At Cricket Mind Online, our work is built around helping cricketers perform with greater confidence, clarity and consistency.

That does not happen through quick fixes. It comes from better preparation, stronger habits, clearer thinking and the ability to respond well when cricket becomes difficult.

Our yearly live online cricket workshops have been created to support that process.

Whether you are a parent trying to support your child more effectively, a player preparing for trials, a cricketer looking to make better use of pre-season, or someone who wants to start the season with more confidence, the schedule has been designed to provide support at the right time.
