COACH WORKSHOPS
Small-group online workshops that give coaches space to think clearly about their decisions, their environment, and the people they’re responsible for.
COACHING IS MORE THAN SESSIONS
Coaches spend a lot of time planning, delivering, and reviewing sessions.
What they get far less time to do is step back and think about:
- How they make decisions under pressure
- How they communicate when things aren’t going well
- How their behaviour shapes the environment around them
These workshops create space for that thinking.
They’re not about adding more to a coach’s to-do list — they’re about helping coaches make sense of the role they’re already performing.
WHAT WE SPEND TIME ON
The focus isn’t on telling coaches what they should do.
It’s on creating space to examine how decisions are made, how messages land, and how standards are set and sustained over time.
Workshops commonly explore:
- Decision-making before, during, and after competition
- Communication with players, parents, and staff
- Managing pressure, uncertainty, and scrutiny
- Setting and maintaining standards within a group
- Navigating selection, feedback, and difficult conversations
- Creating environments where players can learn and perform
There are no scripts or checklists. The emphasis is on judgement, context, and consistency.

WHAT A SESSION LOOKS LIKE
Coach Workshops are delivered online in small groups.
They’re discussion-led and grounded in real coaching situations — not theory for theory’s sake.
A typical session lasts around 60 minutes and includes:
- Guided discussion
- Simple scenarios drawn from coaching environments
- Structured reflection on decisions and behaviours
- Time to consider how small changes might have wider impact
Workshops can stand alone or form part of a short series, depending on the group and the context they’re working in.

If you’re unsure what might suit your coaching group, we’re always happy to talk it through.
ONE FINAL THING
These workshops aren’t about telling coaches how to coach.
They’re about creating time and space for coaches to think more carefully about the influence they already have — and how they want to use it.
That kind of thinking tends to shape environments long after the session itself.

“Our match performances are better because we now train better.”
