Supporting performance, leadership, and long-term development at club level
We’re pleased to confirm a new partnership between Cricket Mind Online and Mobberley Cricket Club.
This partnership brings together a club with a strong identity and community, and an approach to coaching and player development built around clarity, consistency, and long-term thinking.
Our role is to support Mobberley as it continues to develop players, teams, and leaders across the club.
Senior cricket and match-day support
As part of the partnership, Cricket Mind Online will lead the coaching and management of all senior players, including the 1st XI.
This includes:
- Ongoing support for senior players across the season
- Clear leadership and communication around roles and preparation
- Match-day coaching and presence with the 1st XI
The focus is on creating an environment where senior players are well supported, well prepared, and clear on expectations.
The Cheshire Performance Academy
A key part of the partnership is the launch of the Cheshire Performance Academy, a new initiative co-developed by Mobberley Cricket Club and Cricket Mind Online.
The academy is designed to support high-potential junior players as they progress towards senior cricket, helping them develop the skills, understanding, and confidence needed at the next level.
The academy will:
- Support players transitioning from junior to senior cricket
- Provide structured exposure to senior-level demands
- Create a clear and visible route into Mobberley’s senior teams
It also plays an important role in attracting ambitious young cricketers to the club and supporting their long-term development.
Developing a clear player pathway
This partnership is also focused on strengthening Mobberley’s player pathway across the club.
Cricket Mind Online will work closely with the club to:
- Align junior, senior, and women’s cricket
- Support the development of home-grown players
- Create consistency in how players are supported as they progress
The intention is to help players see a clear future at the club and feel supported at each stage of their journey.
Coaching across the whole club
High-quality coaching sits at the heart of this partnership.
Cricket Mind Online will coordinate structured coaching provision across junior, senior, and women’s teams, delivered through a professionally organised coaching workforce.
This approach supports:
- Consistent coaching principles across the club
- Clear roles and support for coaches
- A joined-up experience for players across different teams
The emphasis is on building capacity within the club and supporting coaches as well as players.
Additional coaching opportunities
Alongside club-based programmes, additional coaching opportunities will be available for players who want further support.
These include:
- One-to-one sessions
- Small group programmes
- Summer coaching camps
These opportunities are open to both members and non-members and sit alongside the club pathway, offering flexibility for players at different stages.
